I use this artefact a lot and it sits proudly on my desk in prominent display.  It is so simple.  It stores paper clips where I can find them.  It is in a neat cup like holder.  With some magnets at the opening clips are easily retrieved without spilling out as the magnet catches them on the way out, allowing me pick and choose with clip I want to use.
The clear plastic cup allow me to see what clips I have so I can choose which I would like and not just be content with the first that comes to the opening.  It is a joy to choose a clip when  I care for which I should use.
Additionally, the cup size is perfect to dock my elastic rubber bands which also require organising (and selecting) as you can see in the photo.
Lastly, it feels good in my hand.
